Flatbed laser cutting machines are limited to flat sheet. Tubes, curved panels, and 3D structural components require a fundamentally different approach -- one that can follow complex contours in three dimensions without repositioning fixtures or compromising edge quality.

Daqing robot laser cutting workstations use multi-axis robotic arms to follow any 3D contour. With laser spot diameter below 0.1mm and cutting positioning accuracy of ±0.05mm, the system produces smooth, burr-free edges on materials from 1mm thin sheet to 20mm thick carbon steel.

What materials can the robot laser cutting system handle?
Carbon steel, aluminum alloy, plastic, acrylic, wood, and composite materials. Maximum cutting thickness is 20mm for carbon steel at 6000W. The 1500W model handles up to 5mm and the 3000W model up to 10mm. Non-metallic substrates such as acrylic and composite panels are also supported.
Can the system cut tubes and pipes?
Yes. The 3D robot arm can follow tubular profiles and complex curved surfaces that flatbed systems cannot access. Round tubes, square tubes, and irregular pipe sections can all be cut with compound angles and mitre cuts. Custom fixtures are designed per application to hold and index the tube during cutting.
What is the lead time for a robot cutting workstation?
Robot cutting workstations are custom-configured. Lead time is quoted on a per-project basis after technical review. Fixture and tooling design adds 7-15 days to the schedule. We confirm lead time in writing before production begins, so your procurement timeline is protected.
Can I test my material before placing an order?
Yes. Daqing offers sample testing on customer-specified materials before order confirmation. Sample test turnaround is 3-7 days. Send your material specifications, thickness, and cut geometry requirements through the contact page and our engineering team will advise on the appropriate power configuration.
What power configuration is right for my application?
Power selection depends on your maximum material thickness and production throughput requirements. As a guide: the 1500W model is suited for thin sheet and tube up to 5mm; the 3000W model handles medium-thickness steel and aluminum up to 10mm; the 6000W model is designed for heavy structural cutting up to 20mm carbon steel.
